MONTREAL - Veteran rush end Anwar Stewart re-signed with the Montreal Alouettes on Monday.
Stewart, 32, has been with the Alouettes since 2002, winning a Grey Cup in his first season. He was named the CFL's outstanding defensive player in 2004.
The deal is for one year plus an option. Stewart had 27 defensive tackles last season along with four sacks, five knockdowns and an interception.
Last week, Montreal signed potential free agents Etienne Boulay and centre Bryan Chiu. They have 14 free agents remaining, including quarterback Anthony Calvillo, slotback Ben Cahoon and CFL outstanding lineman Scott Flory.
