OTTAWA -- BC? Saskatchewan? Montreal? Will he even be traded?

Needless to say, the Kevin Glenn saga has taken another interesting turn.

According to Dan Ralph of The Canadian Press, the quarterback has requested a trade out of the Nation's Capital. The report comes almost three months after Glenn was selected by the REDBLACKS in the December Expansion Draft and was the favourite to be the club's first-ever starting quarterback come 2014.

However, in early February saw the REDBLACKS signed veteran quarterback Henry Burris and proceded to immediately name him their starting pivot

It's obvious that Glenn believes he can be a more-than-capable starting quarterback in the CFL, but will he get his chance? And if so, where?

Today's debate: Where you think Kevin Glenn will end up playing in 2014.

A lot of teams would obviously like to have Kevin Glenn, but the real question is how much are they willing to give up to get him??

I agree with Spectator13 and CRFadmin below... Glenn deserves more respect than this, and was treated poorly by CGY. I've wondered for 2 years now why the fragile Tate is still the go-to guy in Cowtown... I know you're not supposed to lose your job to injury, but what about to a better QB?

Comments thus far suggest that KG would be OK as a backup. If that's true he wouldn't have asked to be traded. It's starter or nothing for him. Edmonton needs him in that role. Reilly and Nichols have less talent and are already battered behind the Esks' weak front line.

The Esks fan base wouldn’t let Glenn anywhere Commonwealth and Hervey knows it. This would be a career limiting move for anyone in Edmonton including Glenn. It makes more sense for Glenn to sign in Montreal or B.C.

If a team has a young potential starter that plays the same style as Glenn, and if the playbook can be written for both, it make sense to trade for Glenn as a mentor to the less experienced player. He may or may not be the starter, but his role would have a purpose. Of course he may not see it that way. I think he deserves to be a starter, but which team has not chosen a direction to follow with their QBs?

You are missing Toronto in the quest for Glenn. The Argos need a solid back up in case Ray goes down again. Personally I hope Glenn is coming to Vancouver.

Toronto has Trevor Harris who apparently was neck-in-neck with Collaros for the #2 QB spot and they have one or two other QBs on the roster. Don't see this as an option!

Unfortunately for Kevin Glenn, if Ottawa don't soon find someone willing to cough up a 1st round pick for his services, they may just keep him on ice until the early part of the season and wait for some team to get desperate after losing a starting QB to injury, or their new rookie starting QB bombs out.

For Kevin Glenn's sake, I hope he gets traded to Winnipeg or Montreal, because those teams represent his best chances of starting. Drew Willy and Troy Smith are largely unproven. If he moves to BC or Saskatchewan he would purely be a backup with no chance of being a regular starter on those teams.

At this point there is no certainty on Lulay's recovery. BC would love to have him. Whether Glenn starts or backs up he is a valuable insurance policy & would be a fine tutor for up & comers.

Riders should contact him for the position of Q.B coach. Also as an emergency replacement if necessary, this would open the door for Glenn but also the compensation would be minimal.

This sucks. KG is too good of a player and deserves far more respect than to be treated the way he was by the Red Blacks. This whole situation, including the amount of money paid to Burris, is just goofy. I don't see Desjardins lasting.

Yeah, he's such a good player that his only opportunities are in a back up role.

If anyone treated him badly, it's Calgary. He takes them to the Cup, yet keeps being relegated to the back-up role, and is made available in the expansion draft. Ottawa did nothing wrong; they selected him, said they would continue to look to improve the position (as they should), and signed someone they thought was better.

Tate was also made available in the draft. Meanwhile too much salary cap room was blown on Burris, you have a disgruntled player that is well liked - how do you think that will affect the locker room? Everyone makes mistakes in a new job but this does not bode well.

I'm hoping he stays in the East. Ideally Desjardins will keep him, but I'd hope that Higgins would snatch him up. I just don't want him in the West, unless he (improbably) came back to Calgary. He's too big a threat! When KG has a hot hand, he's hard to defend, especially now that his quick release is augmented by a scrambling ability he strengthened here in Calgary.
