HAMILTON -- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that with the addition of defensive assistant Brad Miller, head coach Marcel Bellefeuille has completed his coaching staff for the 2009 season.

“I’m eager to get to work with this experienced and talented group of coaches,” said Bellefeuille.  “Each individual’s character, expertise and past success is going to have a great impact on our team this season.”

Miller joins the Ticats staff with plenty of Canadian Football League experience.  He spent two seasons (2006-07) with the Montreal Alouettes as a defensive assistant and was named the Alouettes assistant head coach in 2007.

The Pasadena, California native also spent five seasons (1996-2000) with the Edmonton Eskimos, including a stint as the team’s defensive coordinator and assistant head coach in 2000.

In between his time in Montreal and Edmonton, Miller was a defensive and special teams assistant with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers for five seasons.

The staff will be led by Bellefeuille, who took over the Black and Gold on an interim basis in September and was named head coach on October 27.  Bellefeuille joined the Ticats as offensive coordinator prior to the 2008 season.

On offence, Mike Gibson takes over as offensive coordinator after spending the past two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as their assistant head coach and offensive line coach and two seasons (2005-06) as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive coordinator.

Dennis Goldman will return for his third season as the Ticats receivers coach while Khari Jones will begin his CFL coaching career as the Black and Gold’s quarterbacks coach.

Defensively, Greg Marshall becomes the Ticats defensive coordinator following three seasons in the same capacity with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  Marshall also previously served as defensive coordinator with three other CFL teams; the Ottawa Renegades, Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

John Kropke will remain the club’s defensive line coach after his first season in Hamilton in 2008.

Special teams coordinator Dave Easley will also return to the Ticats for his third season in Hamilton and his 17th in the CFL.
