HAMILTON -- Chris Williams' dream season continued on one of the biggest stages possible.

Monday, in the first quarter of the final Labour Day Classic at Ivor Wynne Stadium, Williams returned a Swayze Waters punt 82 yards for a touchdown for his sixth return major of the season, breaking the record of most kick returns for a touchdown in a single season.

It was Williams's fifth punt return TD of the season and also marked a CFL-record third-straight game that he had taken a punt back for the touchdown.

"Those guys out there are blocking tremendously,'' he said. "It's not me, really. Those guys are out there putting hats on hats and getting people out of the way. I'm just trying to run and find holes.''

Through eight games this season, Williams has returned 34 punts for 609 yards.

He has also played a major role in Hamilton's offensive success, as he's hauled in 41 passes for 652 yards and five touchdowns.

Last season's Most Outstanding Rookie leads the league in touchdowns with 11.
