Dick Shatto is the Argos all-time leader in rushing yards (6,968 yards). He played 12 seasons with the Boatmen and upon retirement, Shatto had amassed more rushing yards, caught more passes and scored more touchdowns than any player in the history of the CFL. Shatto was a two-time CFL All-Star (1963, 1964) and was an eight-time East Division All-Star (1956-1959, 1961-1964). He was named East Division Most Outstanding Player in 1957 and 1964. Shatto was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1975 and his #22 jersey is one of only four to be retired by the Argonauts.
