Garney Henley was an unlikely candidate for stardom, but the slender man from South Dakota excelled at both offence and defence for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Henley shares the Ticats single game record with four pass receiving touchdowns. He is a nine-time CFL All-Star at defensive back (1963-71) and was a CFL All-Star receiver in 1972, the same year he won a Schenley as the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player. Henley is a four-time Grey Cup Champion in 1963, 1965, 1967 and 1972. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1979.
