Ron Lancaster is one of the greatest players in the history of the game. Lancaster quarterbacked the Saskatchewan Roughriders to the team’s first Grey Cup victory in 1966. He was a two-time winner of the Schenley Most Outstanding Player Award (1970, 1976) and a four-time CFL All-Star (1970, 1973, 1975-76). Lancaster threw for 50,535 yards and retired as the CFL leader in that category, a record that lasted until October 28, 2000. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1982.
