HAMILTON (CFL.ca wire) – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed import defensive back Mike Echols, the team announced Tuesday.
Echols was a fourth-round choice by the Tennessee Titans in the 2002 NFL Draft. The Youngstown, Ohio native spent two seasons with the Titans before signing with several other NFL teams during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
The 5-9, 190-pound defensive back played his collegiate football at Wisconsin, where he recorded 219 tackles, 12 interceptions and four sacks after starting all 48 games in four seasons with the Badgers.
