TORONTO — Since the opening of training camps on Sunday, June 7, players have been through countless practices, scrimmages and one-on-one drills, leaving everything on the field in hopes of having their name penciled-in on the 46-man roster.
During the past 18 days, coaches were watching and evaluating every step of every play. And not too far in the distance, fans looked on from the sidelines, with all the hope in the world, wondering which of these players would help lead “my team” to a Grey Cup championship.
Today is the day that coaches finalize their rosters, players learn their fate, and fans get a first glimpse of the 2009 edition of their team.
At 3:00pm ET, all teams must submit their list of 46-active players. Some teams have already started trimming down their rosters. Below is a list of players released during the cut down period:
