TORONTO — Thursday June 24 was cut-down day in the CFL. It was a busy day across the league, highlighted by a pair of trades made by the Toronto Argonauts. On Thursday morning, the Argos finalized a trade with the Montreal Alouettes to acquire WR/RS Chad Owens in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft.
In the afternoon, the Argos worked a deal with another Eastern Division rival. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced that the team acquired non-import offensive lineman Brian Ramsay from the Argonauts in exchange for a fourth round selection in the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft and a conditional 2013 draft selection.
All eight teams had until 3pm ET to release players and finalize their 46-man rosters. Here is a recap of the players released by each team in the past 36 hours leading up to cut down day:
