Stampeders release QB Michael Bishop

CALGARY– Quarterback Michael Bishop was released by the Calgary Stampeders on Wednesday.

The import QB dressed for all five of Calgary’s regular-season games, rushing six times for 17 yards and a touchdown.

The six-foot-two, 223-pound Bishop is a nine-year CFL veteran. He has also played for the Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Over his career, Bishop has recorded 11,772 passing yards and thrown 66 touchdown passes. He has also rushed for 1,404 yards and 13 TDs.
