Ticats sign DL Summers, release LB Campbell

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats did some roster juggling as they prepare for the final two weeks of the season, signing three and releasing four.

The club has added non-import linebacker Philippe Dubuisson-Lebon and import defensive and lineman Derrick Summers to their practice roster, the team announced Tuesday.

Dubuisson-Lebon, a 6-2, 221-pound native of Montreal, Quebec, joins the Black and Gold after finishing his CIS career at Sherbrooke.  He made 14.5 tackles in 2011.

Summers, a 6-2, 262-pound native of Southfield, Michigan, recorded 12 defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks in eight games with the Toronto Argonauts this season after signing as a free agent on May 26.  He was released by the Argos on October 18.

The Ticats also announced that the following players have been released IMP DB John Bowie, IMP DT Ronnell Brown, IMP LB Brock Campbell and IMP DE Bruce Davis
