Eskimos release import guard Devin Tyler

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos announced on Tuesday that they’ve released import guard Devin Tyler.

Tyler spent the first five games of the 2012 season on the suspended list, rejoining the team prior to game six. He played and started in 11 games, and was on the reserve list for games 12 and 13. The 26-year-old Washington D.C., native signed to the Eskimos as a free agent on Aug. 15, 2011.
