Esks ink rush end Howard to contract extension

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos announced today the re-signing of defensive end Marcus Howard, who was set to become a free agent on February 15. Howard has spent the past two seasons with the Eskimos.

Joining the Esks midway through the 2011 season, Howard made an immediate impact finishing the season with a team-leading 11 quarterback sacks, 18 defensive tackles and two forced fumbles.

In 2012 Howard played in six games, missing part of the season with an injured hamstring. Marcus returned to the line-up to play in final game of the regular season and the Eastern Semi-Final.
