TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts announced today that they have extended the contract of starting left tackle Tony Washington through the 2014 season, following a successful first season in Double Blue.

Originally signed by the Double Blue on July 4, 2012, Washington made 15 consecutive starts at left tackle, bookended by games against the Calgary Stampeders beginning in Week 7 and culminating in a Grey Cup Championship on November 25 at Rogers Centre.

The Argos also announced the signing of import WR Derrick Williams. An offensive and special teams standout at Penn State University from 2005-2008, Williams was drafted in the third round (82nd overall) by the Detroit Lions in the 2009 NFL Draft. He has since spent time with Detroit and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
