The Hamilton Tiger-Cats currently hold the first overall pick, followed by Winnipeg and Montreal (which have acquired the third overall selection from Edmonton).

HOW OTTAWA FACTORS INTO THE 2013 DRAFT
The new Ottawa franchise will enter the league in 2014 but will make their first ever set of roster moves on Monday when they close out the first four rounds with selections. They are, however, only eligible to select from the list of NCAA redshirt juniors which are listed below. Two players on the list that may garner some headlines if not attention from other clubs prior to Ottawa’s selection is Oregon’s Bo Lokombo and Iowa’s Nolan McMillian. They sit #2 and #6 respectively on the latest edition of the CFL Scouting Beureau released last month.

WHO’S STOCK IS RISING AND WHO’S FALLING?
The final edition of the Scouting Bureau for this draft class was released on April 18 but a lot has changed even since then. Defensive Lineman Stefan Charles (2) and Offensive Lineman Matt Sewell (4) have both signed contracts with the Tennessee Titans which will likely force them to drop down into the later rounds if selected at all. Many have said that a pair of Calgary Dinos, Linden Gaydosh and Mike Edem, may have risen their stocks in light of the aforementioned NFL signings combined with their performances at Combine.

RECENT DRAFT TRENDS
– Over the past 13 years, 62% of draft selections have come from CIS schools.
– In 2009, 79% of draft picks were from Canadian universities, the largest margin of the last 10 years.
– In 2012, 47% of draft picks came from NCAA schools, the highest percentage in 13 years (this includes four draft picks from Simon Fraser University which now competes in the NCAA).
– Laval has had the most players drafted in the past 12 years (31), accounting for 4.9%, followed closely by Manitoba (28 players – 4.4%) and Calgary (26 players – 4.1%).
– Toledo has the largest percentage of draft selections from a school south of the border in the past 10 years (7 players – 1.3%).
RECAPPING THE SELECTION TRADES OVER THE YEARS
FIRST ROUND
3rd Overall – Montreal Alouettes via Edmonton Eskimos
The Alouettes acquired the Eskimos 2013 first round pick (third overall), 2013 fourth round pick (30th overall) and non-import kicker Derek Schiavone in exchange for non-import kicker Brody McKinght.
SECOND ROUND
10th Overall – Edmonton Eskimos via Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Eskimos acquired the Ticats 2013 second round pick (10th overall), 2013 third round pick (24th Overall) in exchange for the rights to non-import defensive lineman Hasan Hazime and their 2013 second round pick (15th overall).
Hamilton originally acquired the 24th overall pick from the BC Lions as part of the trade that dealt import receiver Arland Bruce to the Lions.
12th Overall – BC Lions via Edmonton Eskimos
The Lions acquired the Eskimos 2013 second round selection (12th overall) and 2014 second round selection in exchange for import quarterback Mike Reilly and their 2013 second round selection (15th overall).
13th Overall – Calgary Stampeders via Saskatchewan
The Stampeders acquired the Roughriders 2013 second round pick (13th overall) and 2012 second round pick (15th overall) in exchange for their 2012 second round pick (12th overall) and 2012 fourth round pick (25th overall).
15th Overall – Hamilton Tiger-Cats via Edmonton Eskimos
The Tiger-Cats acquired the Eskimos 2013 second round pick (15th overall), the rights to non-import defensive lineman Hasan Hazime in exchange for their 2013 second round pick (10th overall) and 2013 third round pick (24th Overall).
Edmonton originally acquired the 15th overall pick from the BC Lions as part of the trade that dealt import quarterback Mike Reilly to the Eskimos.
THIRD ROUND
21st Overall – BC Lions via Edmonton Eskimos
The Lions acquired the Eskimos 2013 third round draft pick as part of the 2011 trade that dealt non-import running back Jerome Messam to the Eskimos.
24th Overall – Edmonton Eskimos via Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Eskimos acquired the Ticats 2013 second round pick (10th overall), 2013 third round pick (24th Overall) in exchange for the rights to non-import defensive lineman Hasan Hazime and their 2013 second round pick (15th overall).
26th Overall – Edmonton Eskimos via Toronto Argonauts
The Eskimos acquired the Argonauts 2013 third round selection (26th overall) in exchange for non-import defensive lineman Jermaine Reid and their best two fifth round draft selections in 2013 (39th and 40th overall).
FOURTH ROUND
28th Overall – Calgary Stampeders via Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Stampeders acquired the Tiger-Cats 2013 fourth round draft pick (28th overall) and non-import linebacker Jadon Wagner in exchange for their 2013 fifth round draft pick (43rd overall) and import defensive back Milton Collins.
30th Overall – Montreal Alouettes via Edmonton Eskimos
The Alouettes acquired the Eskimos’s 2013 first round pick (third overall), 2013 fourth round pick (30th overall) and non-import kicker Derek Schiavone in exchange for non-import kicker Brody McKinght.
31st Overall – Edmonton Eskimos via Saskatchewan Roughriders
The Eskimos acquired the Roughriders’ fourth round pick (31st overall) along with the Draft rights to non-import offensive lineman Matt O’Donnell in exchange for Greg Carr and their original fifth round pick (39th overall).
35th Overall – Hamilton Tiger-Cats via Toronto Argonauts
The Ticats acquired the Argos best 2013 fourth round pick (35th overall) and import defensive back Dee Webb from the Argos in exchange for import receiver Maurice Mann.
FIFTH ROUND
38th Overall – Saskatchewan Roughriders via Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Roughriders acquired the Blue Bombers best 2013 fifth round draft pick (38th overall) and import defensive lineman Odell Willis in exchange for their 2012 second round draft pick (8th overall) and 2012 fourth round draft pick (23rd overall).
39th Overall – Toronto Argonauts via Edmonton Eskimos
The Argonauts acquired the Eskimos best two 2013 fifth round draft picks (39th and 40th overall) and non-import defensive lineman Jermaine Reid in exchange for their 2013 third round draft pick (26th overall).
The Eskimos originally traded the 39th overall selection as part of the 2012 trade that dealt Greg Carr to the Roughriders. The Eskimos re-acquired that draft pick from the Roughriders as part of the 2013 trade that dealt non-import kicker Brody McKnight to Saskatchewan.
40th Overall – Toronto Argonauts via Edmonton Eskimos
The Argonauts acquired the Eskimos best 2013 fifth round draft picks (39th and 40th overall) and non-import defensive lineman Jermaine Reid in exchange for their 2013 third round draft pick (26th overall).
The Eskimos originally acquired the 40th overall draft pick from the Roughriders as part of the 2013 trade that dealt non-import kicker Brody McKnight to Saskatchewan.
43rd Overall – Hamilton Tiger-Cats via Calgary Stampeders
The Ticats acquired the Stampeders 2013 fifth round draft pick (43rd overall) and import defensive back Milton Collins in exchange for their 2013 fourth round draft pick (28th overall) and non-import linebacker

SIXTH ROUND
47th Overall – Montreal Alouettes via Edmonton Eskimos
The Alouettes acquired the Eskimos best 2013 sixth round draft pick (47th overall) and 2012 sixth round draft pick (44th overall) in exchange for non-import offensive lineman Dylan Steenbergen.
48th Overall – Calgary Stampeders via Edmonton Eskimos
The Stampeders acquired the Eskimos 2013 sixth round draft pick (48th overall) in exchange for their 2013 sixth round draft pick (51st Overall) and import offensive lineman Junius Coston.
The Eskimos originally acquired the 48th overall pick from the Roughriders as part of the 2012 trade that dealt import offensive lineman Xavier Fulton to Saskatchewan.
49th Overall – Saskatchewan Rouhgriders via Edmonton Eskimos
The Roughriders acquired the Eskimos best 2013 sixth round draft pick (49th overall) along with non-import kicker Brody McKnight in exchange for two fifth round picks in 2013 (39th and 40th overall).
51st Overall – Edmonton Eskimos via Calgary Stampeders
The Eskimos acquired the Stampeders 2013 sixth round draft pick (51st Overall) and import offensive lineman Junius Coston in exchange for their sixth round draft pick (48th overall).
