TORONTO — With the fourth overall pick of the first round of the 2013 CFL Draft, the Saskatchewan Roughriders selected Eastern Michigan offensive lineman Corey Watman.

Watman, 23, joins the Riders after an impressive showing at the CFL Combine. The Queensville, ON native placed third in the bench press, registering 31 reps.

“Watman interviewed well at the combine and has lots of good film from Eastern Michigan. Centre could be his best position in the CFL,” said CFL.ca columnist Justin Dunk.

In 2011, Watman appeared in 10 games for the Eagles, starting in each of them. A year earlier in 2010, the six-foot-two, 294-pounder played in all 12 games, earning seven starts at right guard.
