CFL Scouting Bureau releases September 2013 Rankings

TORONTO — The Canadian Football League Scouting Bureau today published its September top 15 ranking of prospects eligible for the 2014 CFL Canadian Draft.

The number one ranked prospect is Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, a 6’5”, 305 pound offensive lineman from McGill University. Through two games this season, the offensive linemen has helped guide McGill to a 1-1 record.

Rounding out the top five are St. Francis Xavier University wide receiver Devon Bailey, Montreal University offensive lineman David Foucault, and two players from Laval University, offensive lineman Pierre Lavertu and defensive back Adam Thibault.

BY THE NUMBERS

In the September rankings, the list includes; four linebackers, four offensive linemen, three wide receivers, three defensive backs and one defensive linemen.

There are ten universities that are represented in the list of with four schools with numerous selections; Queen’s (3), Concordia (2), Laval (2) and Simon Fraser (2).

2013 CFL Draft first overall pick, Linden Gaydosh was ranked second in the 2012 September rankings.

In last year’s September CFL Scouting Bureau release, all fifteen athletes were selected in the CFL Draft, including six in the first round.
