OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS have made their biggest move since free agency opened yesterday, signing former Blue Bombers cornerback Jovon Johnson.
A seven-year CFL veteran, Johnson has played all but one season with Winnipeg, posting 372 career tackles to go with 23 interceptions. In 2011, the Iowa graduate was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive player in a season where he led the league’s most fierce defence and got helped the Bombers to their first Grey Cup berth since 2007.
