OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS of added three import players to their roster on Tuesday, signing defensive lineman Monte Lewis, defensive back Seth Williams and seven-year CFL veteran linebacker T.J. Hill.
Hill, a 33-year-old native of Paterson, New Jersey, comes to Ottawa with 542 tackles in his CFL career, which began in 2007 with the Montreal Alouettes before joining the Edmonton Eskimos in 2009.
The 5-foot-9, 195-pound Hill also has 12 career sacks and 13 interceptions, including four for touchdowns.
Hill, who played college football at Northeastern, had a career-high 94 tackles last season with the Eskimos.
Williams is a two-year CFL veteran who has played two years with the Alouettes. The 27-year-old native of Fayetteville, North Carolina who played college football at Richmond, has 98 career tackles in two seasons and two interceptions.
Lewis, a native of Abbeville, Alabama, played four seasons with the Jacksonville State Gamecocks where he contributed 64 solo tackles and 8.5 sacks during his collegiate career.
Lewis signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2012 and attended training camp before being released.
He also spent time during the 2012 season on the practice roster of the Hamilton Tiger Cats and with the San Jose SaberCats in the Arena Football League
