One and Done: Argos release Khalif Mitchell

TORONTO — Khalif Mitchell’s days with the Toronto Argonauts are over.

Monday, the defensive tackle was released by the Argos after just one season of play with the Double Blue. Mitchell was acquired by the Boatmen in a trade with the Lions last April.

The 2013 season saw Mitchell appear in 16 games, registering 32 tackles and a team-best five sacks. He also collected one fumble recovery.

Prior to joining the Argos, Mitchell spent three seasons with the Lions, collecting 54 tackles and eight sacks.
