EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos have released veteran defensive back Chris Thompson, the team announced Friday evening.
Thompson was traded to Edmonton from Hamilton on Feb. 16, 2010. In five seasons with the Green and Gold, he recorded 187 defensive tackles and 19 interceptions.
In seven CFL seasons, Thompson has racked up 308 tackles, 30 interceptions, two touchdowns and one fumble recovery for 63 yards.
