OTTAWA — After trading away the first overall selection to the Calgary Stampeders, the Ottawa REDBLACKS are back in the first round.

Tuesday, the team made another blockbuster deal, acquiring the fifth overall pick in the 2014 Draft from the BC Lions in exchange for QB Kevin Glenn.

The move comes just over two months after Glenn requested a trade out of Ottawa, as a result of the team signing veteran QB Henry Burris.

The five-foot-11, 205-pound Glenn was 20-8 as a starter replacing the injured Drew Tate over two seasons with Calgary.

He guided the Stampeders to a Grey Cup berth in 2012 and top spot in the West Division in ’13 with a league-best record.
