TORONTO — The Montreal Alouettes kicked off the second round of the 2014 CFL Draft by selecting Queen’s linebacker Andrew Lue with the 10th overall pick.
In 2013, Lue registered 19 tackles, and two interceptions in seven games. He was also credited with three knockdowns.
The Markham, ON, native was listed as the 10th ranked prospect in the final Scouting Bureau rankings.

Saskatchewan made their first selection of the Draft with the 11th overall selection, taking Western linebacker Dylan Ainsworth.
Ainsworth, who was the talk of the town following the CFL Combine in March, heads to the Riders after registering 28 tackles, five sacks and one forced fumble in eight games played with the Mustangs in 2013.
“At 21 years old, Ainsworth is one of, if not the, youngest player in the draft. He has impressive athleticism for a defensive lineman and can be a key special teams contributor and situational pass rusher while he aims to develop into a starter,” said CFL.ca’s CIS Insider Justin Dunk.
The Delta, BC, native put up impressive numbers at the Combine, running a strong 4.697 40-yard dash, while dazzling scouts in the one-on-one drills.
Ainsworth was one of the main attention-grabbers at the Combine. He put on a show throughout the physical testing, putting up impressive numbers on both Saturday and Sunday. But he also showed what he can do when he strapped on the pads,” said Dunk.
The Lions followed by taking OL TJ Player from Northwestern State before the Ottawa REDBLACKS took receiver Scott MacDonell from Queen’s.
The Lions then had the 14th pick as well and took RB Pascal Lochard out of Laval. Edmonton then took RB Aaron Milton with the 15th overall pick before Calgary took LB Max Caron from Concordia 16th overall.
Linebacker Jesse Briggs went to Winnipeg before Saskatchewan closed out the round by taking WR Alex Pierzchalski from the University of Toronto.
