EDMONTON – Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Zach Collaros left Friday night’s game in Edmonton and did not return.

With 8:07 remaining in the first half, Collaros rolled right out of the pocket and looked down field for wide receiver Brandon Banks.  The Cincinnati grad absorbed a hit from Eskimos defensive end Odell Willis and was down for several minutes before being walking off under his own power.

Backup Jeremiah Masoli entered the game to take over the Hamilton offence.

Before exiting, Collaros was good on 5 of 8 passes for 53 yards and one interception.

Collaros was acquired by Hamilton in the off-season and promptly named the team’s starter before training camp began.

More to come…
