Arceneaux agrees to contract extension with BC

Vancouver — ‎The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux has agreed to a contract extension keeping him in orange through the 2015 season.

“Emmanuel has developed into a big play receiver who has been a significant part of our success on offence this season,” said VP of football operations and GM Wally Buono. “We are very pleased to have him agree to this extension and I know our fans will be as well.”

After suffering a hand injury in training camp and missing two starts, the fourth-year Leo has been the CFL’s hottest receiver over the past six weeks notching 472 yards on 27 receptions with five touchdowns. He is also one of four Lions who are currently ranked in the top 10 league-wide in receiving yards.

“I love being part of this family,” said Arceneaux, as the receiver continues to prepare for tomorrow’s game versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders. “I am excited about the kind of team we’re developing into and I’m proud to be playing alongside these guys as we work to bring a championship home to our fans.”

The BC Lions (5-3) take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-2) at BC Place on Sunday, August 24th at 4:00 pm presented by Save-On-Foods.
