WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers continue to get a head start on free agency, announcing Tuesday the addition of veteran defensive back Macho Harris.

Harris enters his fifth season in 2016, spending his first four CFL seasons with Saskatchewan. The 6-foot, 200-pound defender has played in 44 career games, starting 41. In 2015 he started 16 games with the Riders, recording 58 defensive tackles, four sacks, three interceptions (all in one game, a CFL high for 2015), and one forced fumble.

Through his four-year career, Harris has recorded 149 defensive tackles, four interceptions, six sacks and three forced fumbles.

The Bombers also announced the addition of international defensive end Shayon Green to the roster. Green, a Miami graduate, played 31 games for the Hurricanes, including starts in 25 contests as a junior and senior from 2012-2013.

Green (6-foot-3, 265 pounds) finished his collegiate career with 143 tackles and three sack. Following his NCAA career, Green signed with the Miami Dolphins, and following his release, with the Pittsburgh Steelers in April of 2015.
