Speedster Rainey remains in Orange

VANCOUVER — The BC Lions have come to terms with pending free agent running back Chris Rainey.

Rainey put himself on the radar with his explosive plays on special teams last season, emerging as the CFL’s number one returner in 2015. The former Florida Gators star ran two kicks back for touchdowns while leading the league with 761 yards and a 28.2 yard average on kickoff returns.

While his opportunities have been limited, he’s also shown plenty of explosive ability on the offensive side of the ball where he’ll look to make more of an impact in 2016.
