WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has extended the contract of offensive lineman Sukh Chungh through the 2018 season. Chungh was entering the final year of his contract in 2017.
“When we drafted Sukh, this is the exact type of development we were hoping for and expecting, quite honestly,” said Blue Bombers General Manager Kyle Walters. “He’s a hard-nosed, tough, talented lineman who plays the game on the edge and brings a feistiness to our offensive line. Sukh is a big piece of our Canadian talent and we are really glad to have him secured for another year.”
Chungh was originally selected by Winnipeg second overall in the 2015 CFL Draft. He went on to start all 18 games in 2015 – the only first round pick that season to do so – while starting 16 (missing two due to injury) in 2016.
