TORONTO — One of the top remaining free agents has landed a deal south of the border, as offensive lineman Greg Van Roten has signed with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars made the announcement on Monday, ending a two-year CFL stint for the 27-year-old that saw him earn team Most Outstanding Lineman honours in back to back seasons.
The Pennsylvania alum played every position on the Argos’ O-line throughout his time with the team.
Van Roten, who checks in at 6-foot-3, 308 pounds, was the second-ranked remaining free agent according to CFL.ca’s initial top-30 list.
