Football is coming back to Vegas and the CFL is excited to celebrate its return in 2017!
TORONTO – The Canadian Football League is excited to announce that to honour the return of football to Las Vegas with the Las Vegas Raiders, the league will hold a Las Vegas Posse Jersey Throwback Night in 2017 during one of its regular season games.
In 2017, a yet to be revealed CFL team will wear Las Vegas Posse throwback uniforms for one of their home games. Jersey mock ups can be seen in the image below.
Part of the American CFL Expansion, the Las Vegas Posse played in the 1994 season finishing with a 5-13 record. Their team included a young rookie QB named Anthony Calvillo who would go on to have a Hall of Fame career with the Montreal Alouettes. He would pass for 79,816 yards and be named to the 2017 Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class.
The CFL will reveal who will wear the jersey during a special live show hosted on CFL.ca in April.
