Riders select UCLA’s Cameron Judge 2nd overall

UCLA Athletics

TORONTO — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have made their first pick in the 2017 CFL Draft, selecting UCLA linebacker Cameron Judge second overall.

Judge played in 11 games in 2016 at linebacker and on special teams, making two starts. The UCLA Bruin collected a career-high 20 tackles along with one interception last season including a season-high four tackles in a contest against Stanford.

In 47 career games, the 6-foot-2, 235-pounder had 30 solo and 16 assisted tackles.

The pick comes one year after the Riders selected Oklahoma offensive lineman Josiah St. John first overall.
