WINNIPEG — The Bombers will have most of their 2017 rookie class in camp this week following the signing of national kicker and 34th overall pick Félix Ménard-Brière.
The deal was announced Wednesday, as the team opens its annual rookie camp, along with three other signings. Also added were international defensive tackle Cory Johnson, international defensive end Caleb Bostic and international lineman Trevan Brown.
With the signings, offensive lineman and eighth overall pick Geoff Gray is the only Bombers draft pick in 2017 currently without a contract.
Ménard-Brière was selected 34th overall by Winnipeg in the 2017 CFL Draft. He was named to the 2016 All-Canadian First-Team as a punter after leading USports with a 42.4-yard average. He had 21 punts inside the 20-yard line and added 17 field goals on 25 attempts last year.
Johnson was signed as an undrafted free agent by Atlanta following a senior season at Kentucky in which he recorded 67 tackles and two sacks. Following his stint with Atlanta, Johnson was added to the Kansas City Chiefs practice roster.
Bostic played collegiately at Miami Ohio, and most recently spent time in the Arena League with New Orleans where he recorded 75 tackles and seven sacks throughout his arena career.
Brown was a four-year starter at Miami Ohio, starting 41 games at left tackle throughout his collegiate career.
The club has also placed international receiver Stephen Burton on the suspended list.
