Riders sign free agent CB A.J. Jefferson
REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added depth to their secondary, coming to terms with free agent international cornerback A.J. Jefferson, the club announced today.
The third-year corner signed as a free agent by Ottawa in February — after getting his start with the Toronto Argonauts — but was released after starting just three contests in the REDBLACKS’ secondary.
In 30 games with the Argos, the 29-year-old collected 91 defensive tackles, five special teams tackles, six interceptions and one touchdown.
