REGINA — Saskatchewan Roughriders star receiver Naaman Roosevelt left Sunday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Roosevelt was injured on a tackle by Calgary rookie Tunde Adeleke immediately after catching a pass on a slant route.

The 29-year-old out of Buffalo, N.Y. leads the Riders in receiving yards (906) and receiving touchdowns (7), ranking sixth and second in the CFL respectively in those categories.

With Roosevelt out, Bakari Grant and Rob Bagg saw their workloads increase in the Riders’ 15-9 loss with six and four catches respectively.
