EDMONTON — Winnipeg running back Andrew Harris pointed to a total team effort following the Bombers’ important 28-19 divisional win on the road in Edmonton.
“Across the board, we said we were going to come out here 44 strong and everybody was going to contribute and we did that tonight,” said Harris, who racked up 135 all-purpose yards in the win. “A home playoff game in Winnipeg is something we need to accomplish, whether that be for first place or second place. We’re gunning for that.”

The win was sealed by a late-game Chris Randle pick-six; the 29 year-old’s fifth interception of the season, and subsequent 37-yard touchdown return, ensured Winnipeg would move to 10-3 on the season.
“I told T.J. (Heath), my weak-side, to take some of my in-breaking routes so I could be more aggressive on out-breaking routes,” explained Randle. “He (Reilly) passed it, and I was able to play hard and aggressive on the outside.”
It was a key moment in an important game — and the Winnipeg defensive back’s biggest play of the season, by his estimation.
“It’s a play, a pick-six — I ain’t had one of those this year,” said Randle, a Utah State product. “It’s a pretty big play for the situation, (and) that was one of the biggest plays I’ve had this far.”
Bombers receiver Darvin Adams, who also had a highlight of his own with a one-handed touchdown grab earlier in the fourth quarter, insists he ‘called’ the pick-six.
“Believe it or not, I looked at Dominique Davis and said ‘don’t worry, Chris about to pick the ball off’ — as soon as I said it…” laughed Adams. “That guy works hard, he’s a great leader, comes in early (and) works on his technique. A great guy.”
Winnipeg will return home in Week 16 to face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday Night Football (Oct. 6, 8:30 p.m. ET).
