TORONTO — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos have both clinched playoff berths with wins on Saturday.
In the East, the Toronto Argonauts are set to host their first playoff game since 2013 after the Calgary Stampeders offered up some help, defeating the Argos’ rival Hamilton Tiger-Cats Friday night. Meanwhile Ottawa has punched their ticket to the post-season.
The Argos remain in a dog fight with Ottawa for tops in the East after the REDBLACKS came back to defeat the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
As a result, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have been eliminated from playoff contention.
As for Calgary they are one step closer to hosting their second consecutive Western Final – the win Friday combined with a Winnipeg loss Saturday will clinch the West Division.
Hamilton’s loss also means that there will indeed be a crossover team from the West Division.
