Pick ‘Em Marquee Matchup: Bombers, Argos clash in Toronto

The Canadian Press

TORONTO — This week’s Marquee Matchup features the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Toronto Argonauts in their second and final meeting of the regular season.

A win for the Bombers and they clinch a home playoff date for the first time since 2011. A win for the Argos and they move back into first place in the East.

The Bombers will have to roll without two all-stars on both sides of the ball. Defensive back Maurice Leggett will miss the rest of the season with a torn Achilles and receiver Darvin Adams will be out of the lineup for “a number of weeks.”

With two of the more dependable quarterbacks in the league at the helm of both team’s offences, it’s bound to be an offensive showdown in Toronto. S.J. Green continues to be Ricky Ray’s favourite target on the season while Matt Nichols will need to look to someone else other than his own favourite target, Adams, this week. Nichols will likely lean on Ryan Lankford in Adams’ place or hand off to his reliable back, Andrew Harris.

In this week’s CFL.ca Pick ‘Em Marquee Matchup, we’ll see which team will come out on top. Who are you taking?
