CFL NFL Canada Flag Football Donate $5K To North Surrey Tigers To Help Clubhouse Rebuild

SURREY — The North Surrey Tigers returned home after competing in the CFL NFL Flag Championship in Ottawa last week and were notified that their clubhouse had been burnt down.

On Sunday, November 19th, the day before the Tigers flew out for the CFL NFL Flag Championship, the organization’s clubhouse caught fire and the 30 year-old structure was nearly destroyed.

The organization not only lost its headquarters, but everything that was inside was severly damaged by fire, or smoke, including equipment and memorabilia collected throughout the years the building was in use.

The Canadian Football League and National Football League Canada together donated $5,000 to the North Surrey Tigers Organization.

The CFL asks fans who can assist by donating to the North Surrey TigersGoFundMe page. The donations to the not-for-profit organization will go towards relocating, packing, rentals and storage while the original complex is getting repaired and rebuilt.
