Als release WR Sam Giguere

MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes have released wide receiver Sam Giguere, the team announced Friday.

Last season, Giguere played in 11 games with the Alouettes and caught 11 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.

The 32-year-old joined Montreal in 2015 and played in all 18 games. He caught 39 passes for 368 yards and four major scores that year. In 2016, Giguere caught 36 passes for 440 yards and five touchdowns in 18 games.

Before joining the Alouettes, 6-foot, 218-pound wideout spent three seasons in Hamilton and tallied 116 receptions, 1,543 yards and three touchdowns.
