VANCOUVER — The BC Lions have released linebacker Micah Awe to pursue NFL opportunities, the team announced Wednesday.
Awe had a strong debut season in the CFL, making 54 defensive tackles while taking over the WILL linebacker position part way through the season.
The 24-year-old Lagos, Nigeria native played his college football at Texas Tech.
