TORONTO — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added an offensive lineman with the draft’s fifth pick, selecting UBC’s Dakoda Shepley in the 2018 CFL Draft.
Shepley, a 6-foot-4, 306-pound Windsor, Ont. native played for the West Team in the U SPORTS East-West Bowl in 2017 while also playing in, and starting, eight regular season games with UBC. He was also named a Canada West All-Star that season and won a Vanier Cup in 2015.
The offensive lineman tested at the National Scouting Combine in Winnipeg and benched 27, which was the highest performance of the bench press.
