TORONTO — With Darian Durant’s career officially in the books, the debate will begin as to where he fits in CFL history.

The argument for and against whether he belongs in the hall of fame will go on for some time but since we reminiscing, here is a breakdown of some of his more notable milestones.

First off, lets take a broad look at his career numbers:

There is no shortage of milestones on Durant’s resume.  Here is a look nine stats of significance that tell the story of ‘Doubles’ career in the CFL:

  • Despite an off year in Montreal in 2017, Durant did jump into 14th place on the CFL’s All-Time Passing list with 31,740 yards.
  • Durant leaves the game 17th all-time in career touchdown passes with 164.  He also notched an additional 17 majors in nine career playoff games
  • There is no doubt Durant saved his best for when it mattered most — his career pass efficiency rating is 116.6.  That stands as #1 playoff rating in CFL history
  • The passer rating is reflective in his record in division semi and division finals games, leading the Roughriders to a 5-1 record during his tenure in Saskatchewan.
  • In the regular season, Durant notched 38 career 300-yard games.  Seven of which eclipsed the 400 yard mark.
  • Many argue that Durant’s most dominant performance came in the 2013 West Division playoffs but statistically it is a mid-season game in 2010 that stands out.  On September 27, 2010, Durant passed for 481 yards and five touchdowns in a dramatic 43-37 win over Henry Burris and the Calgary Stampeders.
  • In 128 regular season starts, Durant passed for at least four touchdowns in seven occasions.
  • His ability to be a clutch performer has always been somewhat of a sticking point for fans and naysayers.  Throughout his career Durant led 20 game-winning 4th quarter drives.  Four of those came in 2009 and another four in 2010 — both seasons the Riders went to the Grey Cup.
  • Quick on his feet, Durant finishes his career 12th all-time in quarterback rushing yards with 3,104
