KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Davon Coleman is headed west, after the BC Lions acquired the international defensive tackle from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in a trade Friday night.

Coleman and a sixth-round pick in 2019 are headed to BC in exchange for the Lions’ fourth-round pick in 2019.

Coleman, a 6-foot-2, 295-pound defensive tackle, spent the 2017 season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, registering 41 defensive tackles and five sacks through 17 games.

Prior to joining the Tabbies, Coleman appeared in four games with the Dallas Cowboys through the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The Arizona State alum also spent time with the Chicago Bears, New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before signing with Hamilton as a free agent prior to the 2017 season.

Coleman will be joining his new teammates in Kamloops, B.C. for training camp.
