REGINA — Chris Jones is already making roster moves after Sunday night’s pre-season opener, as the Riders released Monday they’ve released four players.

Leading the list is quarterback Marquise Williams, who was vying for the No. 3 job on the depth chart along with B.J. Daniels and David Watford. Williams played the entire third quarter of a 35-12 loss to Edmonton, going 3-for-7 for 32 yards and an interception.

Also released were running back Josh McPhearson, defensive back Sam Williams and defensive lineman Justin Horton, all internationals.

After visiting the Eskimos on Sunday, the Riders don’t play the second week of pre-season before wrapping things up on June 8 vs. Calgary.
