Report: Chambers out for year after torn ACL

HAMILTON — Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Shamawd Chambers will miss the entire 2018 season with a torn ACL, according to a report by Drew Edwards of 3 Down Nation.

Chambers, a 29-year-old national out of Wilfrid Laurier, was set to enter his seventh CFL season and second with the Ticats after being acquired in a trade last summer.

While the Ticats have other national pass-catchers that can step in, Chambers was likely to start on the Ticats’ offence to begin the season.

Mike Jones and Felix Faubert-Lussier are other Canadian receivers that should figure in, while first overall pick Mark Chapman remains without a contract.
