TSN CFL Fantasy: Who won Week 1?

A big game to start the week from a few Edmonton Eskimos was enough for Burnies517 to collect 133.9 points and win the first week of TSN CFL Fantasy.

Burnies517 loaded up on Eskimos, picking quarterback Mike Reilly and receivers Derel Walker and Duke Williams on his way to the top of the leader board.

Reilly led his team to victory in the weather delayed contest on Thursday night. The Eskimos pivot tossed 408 yards, one touchdown and one interception to go along with his 11 rushes for 43 yards and two majors scores. That performance added 34.6 points to Burnies517’s score.

Two Edmonton receivers made an impact on Thursday at Investors Group Field as well. Derel Walker (31.2 points) collected 178 yards on eight catches – including a 101-yard grab for a touchdown. Williams (11.4 points) amassed 74 yards and four catches in the team’s win over Winnipeg.

Burnies517 also rolled with Andrew Harris (11.3 points) and Don Jackson (16.7 points) as his running backs last week. Harris rushed 14 times for 77 yards and caught three passes for six yards in the Bombers loss while Jackson ran the ball 12 times for 87 yards, a touchdown and a two-pint conversion in Calgary’s win over Hamilton.

Kamar Jorden (17.7 points) filled in Burnies517’s flex spot and tallied four catches for 77 yards and a touchdown.

And finally, Burnies517 went with the BC Lions defence against the Montreal Alouettes and added 11 points to his final total.
