Which touchdown celebration from Week 1 was the best?

It’s only the start of the 2018 CFL season but touchdown celebrations are already in mid-season form.

There were two celly’s that caught my eye from Week 1 – one from the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the other from the Montreal Alouettes.

Let’s go through the Roughriders first.

It was second-and-nine and the Riders were knocking on Toronto’s doorstep on the Argos 14-yard line. Collaros tossed a dart to Namaan Roosevelt who snagged the major score in the end zone.

Then the magic happened.

Roosevelt, Duron Carter, Jerome Messam, Caleb Holley, Josh Stanford and Jordan Williams-Lambert immediately gathered, put their arms around each other and swayed in unison together.

Next up, the Montreal Alouettes.

The touchdown that led to this celebration ended up being called back because of a holding penalty, but I couldn’t ignore the creativity, so I’m going to still include it here.

On the BC 53-yard line, and on second-and-13, Drew Willy aired it out to B.J. Cunningham who ran it 20 yards into the end zone for the touchdown.

Cunningham, Chris Williams, Ernest Jackson and Eugene Lewis then sat down in a circle. Lewis spun the ball in the middle of all of them. Cunningham meditated. Williams roasted something. Jackson and Lewis warmed their hands.

It was a campfire.

Now, this is where you come in.

Each week, two celebrations will go head-to-head. You vote. One will win. One will lose. The winner moves on to the next week and by Week 21, there will be one winning celly that beat all others.
