For the second week in a row, the Ottawa REDBLACKS touchdown celly comes away victorious!
You voted and 52 per cent of you liked Diontae Spencer and Trevor Harris’ Shoot dance better than Duke Williams’ alley-oop.
This week Harris and Spencer will go head-to-head with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Here’s a quick reminder of the REDBLACKS celebration.
It was midway through the third quarter on second and four at midfield. Trevor Harris aired it out to Diontae Spencer, who was being covered by none other than Duron Carter. Spencer beat the receiver-turned-corner and stayed inside the lines to run it into the end zone for the score.
Harris ran full speed down the field to meet up with the self-proclaimed Celly King to do The Shoot Dance in unison with him.
Now to the Bombers.
I won’t lie to you, when I first saw this touchdown celebration the first thought in my head was, ‘WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT?!’
I didn’t understand it but I loved it.
At the start of the second quarter against the BC Lions, the Bombers were on the BC four yard line. Andrew Harris took the direct snap on first down and rumbled into the end zone where he began the celebration and his teammates joined in.

My buddy and colleague, Don Landry, tweeted at the Bombers asking what we were all thinking:
Hey, @Wpg_BlueBombers, @andrewharris33 … what IS this called?? 😂 Solomon Elimimian seems perplexed as well. #CFLGameDay #CFLcelly pic.twitter.com/62HQYWvQqD

And the Bombers responded with this:
This is called ‘the hippo’, @CFLLandry.

And so this celly was dubbed, The Hippo. Incredible.
