MONTREAL — Montreal Alouettes quarterback Jeff Mathews will miss the next four to six weeks, according to a report from Didier Orméjuste of RDS.

In addition, Drew Willy will return to the Alouettes’ lineup and get the start Saturday night when the team visits the Calgary Stampeders.

Mathews subbed in for the injured Willy in Week 3, helping the Als cement their first win of the season in a visit to Saskatchewan. He then made his first start as an Alouette the following week, throwing for 280 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

Willy, set to make his fourth start of the season, returned to practice this week after being held out in Week 4. He was seen taking first team reps this week as the club came off its first bye of the 2018 season.

In three games this year, Willy has completed 49 of 75 passes (65.3%) for 549 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

The Als are currently tied for third in the East with a 1-3 record, but have only played one game against a divisional opponent thus far.
